John Baron MP urges constituents to have their say on housing development

MP encourages constituents to respond to Council’s Core Strategy Consultation

John Baron MP today urged constituents to respond to Basildon Council’s Core Strategy consultation. The Core Strategy is the central document of the Borough’s Local Plan which establishes how much new housing and employment development needs to be built in the Borough by 2031. The Council is consulting for an 8 week period from 20^th January 2014, before the final version is submitted to Government later in 2014. Local residents can see the Core Strategy at public roadshows, Basildon, Billericay and Wickford Libraries, Basildon Centre on online.

John said:

“It is important that residents respond to the consultation and have their say on future development in the Borough. I therefore urge anyone who has not already done so to respond to this consultation.”
