MP: Booster jabs are very important
Despite the enormous success of the vaccination programme there is still scope for further progress. As the weather becomes colder and we all spend more time indoors, the opportunities for the virus to spread may increase. The best thing people aged 12 and above can do is to have both jabs, and those over 50 should take up their booster jab when the NHS invites them to come forward.
John said,
“The vaccines are our best way of keeping covid-19 at bay and maintaining the freedoms we have won back as a result of the success of the vaccination programme. However, many younger people still have not had their jabs, and not everyone has taken up the offer of a free booster dose.”
“I strongly encourage everyone to come forward for their jabs with confidence when they are offered, as they are safe and highly effective. I would also recommend that everyone use their common sense and take extra precautions, such as wearing a mask and ensuring good ventilation, when in crowded places with unfamiliar people.”
