MP congratulates company on its Centrica Top 100 Apprenticeship award

John Baron MP has visited Brown & Carroll at its Basildon Factory at the invitation of Paul Carroll, Managing Director. Brown & Carroll have recently been named by the National Apprenticeships Service as a Centrica Top 100 apprenticeship employer.

John witnessed first-hand some of the work done by the apprentices and met the young people involved. The Top 100 list recognises excellence in businesses that employ apprentices with employers honoured ranging from some of England’s largest companies to some of the smallest. Brown & Carroll were recognised due to their long commitment to apprenticeships nurturing home grown talent and providing specialist trade skills. The company have an excellent retention level helping to progress them up the career ladder to management levels within the company.

John said:

“It was great to visit this excellent company. Not only does it employ hundreds of people locally and in London, but it has one of the best apprenticeship programmes in the country. The company’s management and team should feel very proud, and I look forward to keeping in touch. ”

Paul said;

“We are very proud to have received national recognition for our efforts over the years with our apprenticeship training. We look forward to recruiting the next round of young talent and would encourage any young person to consider a career in construction.”
