MP says Games are great, apart from ticket sales
John Baron MP has congratulated local volunteers for helping to make the Olympic Games such a fantastic success. Today he met an Olympic volunteer at Laindon Station who is helping with the tennis at Wimbledon [see attached photo]. However, John is critical as to the ticket fiasco.
John said:
“The Games are proving a wonderful success. The Opening Ceremony was great, the events themselves have been well organised, and the spirit is fantastic. The many volunteers have been enthusiastic and helpful, and have been essential to the success of these Games.”
“My only reservation is that there have been far too many empty seats at events and the computer system controlling ticket sales has been poorly organised and inefficient. It has been a fiasco.”
