MP congratulates the great team effort
On Friday afternoon, John Baron MP officially opened the new Sensory Room at Buttsbury Pre-School, Billericay. This was at the invitation of Ruth Havis, Treasurer and Trustee of the Pre-School. After receiving grant funding from the Cooperative Trust, the project was able to go ahead. John was invited because he was one of those who supported the application for funding. Also present were SENCO staff Juliet Hughes and Louise Knight and Scott Norman of Ford Trust.
John said:
“This sensory room is a fantastic facility for both the Pre-School children and the Additional Needs children in the local community. The whole Pre-School team, together with the Cooperative Trust and the Ford Britain Trust for their funding, deserve our congratulations. It’s been a great team effort.”
Ruth Havis, Treasurer and Trustee of the Pre-school said:
“In particular the practical support received from John Baron was extremely beneficial in applying for grant funding and we are very grateful for his assistance with letter writing and in finding time to help with a project which will not only benefit the children of the pre-school but also the wider community. Until now there has been no sensory room facility available in Billericay with children with Additional needs and their families having to travel to Brentwood or Pitsea. It was clear at our official opening what an interest John takes in supporting local charities and projects and we are delighted he was able to find time to attend.”
