MP congratulates Swan’s regeneration team and Basildon Council
John Baron MP addressed the ground breaking ceremony at the invitation of Geoff Pearce, Executive Director of Regeneration & Development for Swan. John was shown plans for the site which will include a new high street, a new medical centre and more affordable homes.
John said:
“My congratulations to Swan Housing, Basildon Council and all involved for their hard work in helping to now move this regeneration forward. It has been a bit of a journey but we now have a great plan and we look forward to seeing it put into action.”
Geoff said:
“Swan has been operating in Basildon and Laindon for almost 25 years and have managed over 1,500 homes in the area. We have taken time to widely consult the local residents and we are confident that Laindon Place will create a modern and vibrant facility for the local community.”
