MP meets Swan Housing as the ‘Laindon Place’ regeneration begins
John Baron MP attended the latest milestone in delivering ‘Laindon Place’ at the Laindon Shopping Centre site at the invitation of Swan nu Living. The transformation of the centre is now moving towards creating a thriving new high street for the local community.
John joined local Councillors and local dignitaries as well as the other two Basildon Borough MPs, Stephen Metcalfe MP and Mark Francois MP at the event.
John said:
“The start of the demolition of Laindon Shopping Centre is a true milestone towards its transformation into a modern and vibrant hub, which will include a new high street, medical centre and affordable homes.”
“It has been great teamwork between all involved including Swan nu Living, Basildon Council, Local Councillors, Stakeholders and MPs. We very much look forward to following the progress of this regeneration.
