MP says local schools will benefit
John Baron MP welcomes the announcement that local schools will benefit from funding to improve school facilities, as part of the £434 million nationwide investment to expand classrooms, upgrade facilities and improve children’s education. This funding is part of the £1.4 billion of 2020/21 capital funding announced in April. In addition, the Prime Minister has announced a 10-year school rebuilding programme, with over £1 billion provided for the first 50 projects in 2020/21. This will ensure new and improved buildings and facilities to support our schools.
John said,
“This new funding underlines the Government’s commitment to education, and will help ensure schools have the facilities and classrooms required to support high-quality education and maximise their potential. This is excellent news, and will directly lead to improvements in our local schools.”
