MP says new measures will improve public buildings
Today the Government has announced further steps to support high streets and town centres by reforming planning measures to allow the conversion of empty shops into cafés, restaurants or new homes. In addition, new planning rules will allow the speedy extension of public buildings including schools, colleges, universities and hospitals.
John said,
“After the last year I welcome these measures to revitalise our high streets and town centres by helping them to adapt for the future and encourage increased footfall. In addition, enabling our public buildings to extend further and faster will lead to more school classrooms and hospital space, improving public services and assisting them in adapting quickly to changing needs.”
