MP: Local schools eligible for their share
The annual allocations provided to maintain school buildings will increase by over 20% this financial year to £1.8 billion, on top of the one-off funding injection of £560 million announced by the Prime Minister last year. Every school in England will be access a share of the £1.8 billion to keep their buildings in the best possible condition.
John said,
“I welcome this over-20% increase to the annual allocations for maintenance and repairs – £1.8 billion, in addition to the existing £560 million, will make a real difference to schools across the country, and our local schools should receive their fair share in due course.”
