MP also recommends ‘flu jab
People aged 50 years and over, health and social care workers and younger people at risk are being offered a third booster jab of the covid-19 vaccines. This is because, as with all vaccines, the levels of protection from the jabs wanes over time. A booster dose helps give longer-lasting protection and significantly reduces the risks of needing a hospital admission due to an infection of covid-19. Booster doses are being offered six months after second jabs, and the NHS will contact you when it is your turn.
John said,
“I strongly encourage constituents to come forward for their booster jab when they receive the invitation from the NHS. A booster dose adds to the existing protection from your previous two doses, and the evidence suggests it significantly reduces the chances of needing to go to hospital if infected by covid-19. I would also encourage all those eligible for the ‘flu jab to come forward to receive this protection too.”
