John Baron MP responds to Gray report update

MP: Report uncovers shortcomings which must be addressed

Following the publication of the update into the Sue Gray report, John Baron MP said,

“As Sue Gray sets out in her update, the separate Police activity means that she is not able to release her preferred version of the report in case it prejudices these investigations. We will have to wait further to learn the full conclusions of her report.”

“However, she does find that there were failures of leadership and judgement by parts of No 10 and the Cabinet Office during the pandemic, for which the Prime Minister has apologised. It is essential that these shortcomings are put right, and we will know more when all investigations are complete.”
