John Baron MP receives £7,500 cheque from Hallmark Healthcare for this year’s Fun Walk

MP Welcomes Hallmark Healthcare as main sponsors

Whilst visiting the building work at the Anisha Grange Car Home, Billericay, John received a cheque for £7,500 from Avnish Goyal (Managing Director, Hallmark Healthcare) for this year’s Fun Walk bonus pot.  Hallmark Healthcare is the main sponsor for the walk.  Both John and Avnish were also wearing the official medal to be given to participants on the day – also donated by Hallmark.

Each participating charity and good cause receives this bonus over and above what they raise themselves in sponsorship. The bonus is distributed on a pro rata basis depending on, and in addition to, the money each charity raises itself in sponsorship.  This year’s bonus pot presently amounts to £36,000, compared to £23,000 for the 2010 Fun Walk.

John said:

“Many thanks to all at Hallmark Healthcare for their generous donation to this year’s Fun Walk, and also for providing the medals which will be given to walkers.  Their generosity means this year’s bonus pot is at a record high of £36,000, which will help many causes and people less fortunate than ourselves.”
