MP presents City in Guilds certificates to apprentices.
John Baron MP presented certificates to staff at the Apprentices’ Awards Ceremony at McDonald’s, Town Square, Basildon. 20 employees have obtained level 2 City in Guilds apprenticeship certificates in hospitality, equivalent to five GCSE’s. The McDonald’s apprenticeship programme has grown to become one of the largest in the UK, which every person joining as a crew member gets the opportunity to undertake. To date, more than 11,000 employees have completed their apprenticeship, and a further 7,000 are in training.
John said:
“Congratulations to the whole team at McDonalds for pushing this Apprenticeship programme. It just shows what can be achieved by way of on-the-job training.”
