MP: great enthusiasm for ‘chocolate debate’
Today John Baron MP visited Laindon Park Primary School, Laindon Road, Laindon. John discussed his role as an MP with the children and held his popular ‘chocolate debate’ as a way of illustrating how the House of Commons works.
John said:
“It was a great pleasure visiting the school. There were lots of interesting questions from the kids and an enthusiastic debate on whether chocolate should be free in the shops, followed by a close vote.”
“Initially, most thought chocolate should be free. But, after many good contributions, a further vote was taken and the decision was reversed.”
