MP discusses political life and takes questions

This week in Parliament, John Baron MP met with students from Mayflower High School, Billericay. The students had been on a tour of Parliament prior to meeting John, which involved them viewing the House of Commons, House of Lords and the Royal Apartments. John was invited by the school to meet the students after their tour for a chat in one of the Committee Rooms, and to answer any questions they might have.

John said:

“It was good to see both the students and teachers enjoying their visit to Parliament. The students asked some very good questions about my role as an MP and about the issues of the day. There was a clear interest in politics, the workings of Parliament and current affairs.”

Curtis Clarke of Mayflower High School said:

“We had an amazing day; the tour was well delivered and informative. Question time with John Baron in a committee room was a great opportunity for students to ask him questions on current topics that mattered to them.  The students were enthusiastic and inspired and will take away many memories from their tour about the role of parliament and of an MP.  I would like to thank John Baron for taking the time to meet with us.”
