MP advocates his Eurosceptic view
On Friday, John Baron MP joined Jan Weller [Chairman, European Union of Women, Central Essex Branch] and her members to speak at their branch meeting at Burstead Golf Course, Burstead. John was invited to speak given his role in Parliament in securing an EU referendum in 2017
John said:
“It was a very constructive discussion and I thank the branch for their kind hospitality.”
“I made the case that our relationship with the EU needs to be based on trade and not politics. We need to reverse the trend towards ever closer political union. Measures must be introduced to encourage faster economic growth, otherwise the EU will continue to fall further behind the faster growing regions of the world.”
Jan Weller said:
“We were so delighted to welcome John today who expressed views so in tune with our membership and, I suspect, many other British people. We look forward to meeting him again in the future – when, maybe, he will have time to participate in a delicious lunch! ”
