MP congratulates team and highlights importance of alcohol treatment

Today, as President of Synergy, John Baron MP attended the Annual General Meeting at Canon Roche Hall, Laindon Road, Billericay. Mr Steve Marsh [Chairman], Brenda Burton [Chief Executive] and Tom Sterry MBE [Honorary Treasurer] all addressed the meeting – as did John. Vice-President County Councillor Kay Twitchen was also present.

John said:

“My congratulations go to the whole Synergy team for their superb work within our community in providing a holistic and sustainable treatment service for those suffering from alcohol dependency. It’s been a great team effort, and they have had a series of notable successes this last year.”

“Alcohol dependency is rightly receiving a higher priority politically. But there is still more to be done. It has a knock-on effect across society – for example, alcohol plays a part in over a quarter of known cases of child abuse.”

  1. Synergy helps people aged 18 and over who are suffering from an unhealthy dependency to achieve a meaningful recovery with full reintegration into their family and society.
