John Baron MP supports National Chip Week

MP Visits Fish‘n’Chicken restaurant, Billericay High Street.

At the invitation of The Chesterford Group, John Baron MP will today visit the Fish’n’Chick’n restaurant in Billericay High Street to support National Chip Week. Fish’n’Chick’n are the nation’s largest chain of fish and chip shops. John will be meeting Hugh Lipscombe [representing Fish’n’Chick’n, 60 High Street, Billericay] at 6.45pm.

John said:

“Recognising National Chip Week is about supporting local farmers by raising the profile of the great British potato. It is also worth remembering that fish and chips is not only traditional British fare, but an industry which supports many jobs.”

Hugh Lispcombe said:

“National Chip week allows all of us the opportunity to thank and honor the local farmers for their hard work in producing the great British potato. It is essential that at Fish’n’Chick’n we continue to support and work with British farmers allowing our hardworking teams to supply our customers with a great tasting chip.  ”
