MP views Art in Essex Exhibitions
At the invitation of Jason Merle, curator of the Eastgate Art Gallery, Basildon, John Baron MP has recently visited the gallery to look at the three exhibitions on view there which include, The Millhouse School Exhibition, the Tudor Roses Exhibition and a further exhibition involving charity for Art. The small committee at the Eastgate Gallery have worked hard, not only promoting Art in Essex but also the Eastgate Art Gallery where, in 2015 they will be involved in a Tate Gallery Coffee Project and a film into World Art.
John said:
“I very much enjoyed my visit and meeting the many talented artists displaying their work. We are lucky to have such a Gallery, and I would certainly recommend a visit. Jason and I are in discussions about possible initiatives going forward. Meanwhile, my congratulations go to all at the Gallery.”
Jason said:
“It was a great boost for the Artists and everybody involved to meet John Baron MP. The members are still talking about his visit. It was a great experience and we are looking forward to working with him in the future.”
