MP expresses his concerns and encourages constituents to respond

Essex County Council is currently consulting on a proposal to discontinue six Essex bus services. John Baron MP is encouraging people to respond to the consultation regarding the 236 service which runs from Basildon Festival Leisure Park to Wickford via Ghyllgrove, The Gore and Basildon Hospital. The consultation will play an integral part in whether the service is kept or not and runs from Monday 3rd June until Friday 27th June. John is responding with his concerns.

John said:

“It is very important that residents respond to this consultation as it will help to decide whether the 236 service is retained. This bus route links residential areas, such as Ghyllgrove and The Gore, with the Festival Leisure Park and Basildon Hospital. It will be used by a wide variety of people including the elderly. I am writing to Essex County Council explaining my concerns.”
