John Baron MP welcomes Scottish Referendum result

MP supports English votes for English MPs

Following the result of the Scottish referendum declared this morning, John said,

“I very much welcome the result – being married to a Scot, I declare a vested interest! We are better together!”

“The constitutional implications are profound, both north and south of the border. Other parts of the United Kingdom must now also be granted similar powers if the country is to remain united. The devil will be in the detail, but I will certainly be supporting the concept of English votes for English matters.”
