MP impressed by company’s products and plans
Today, John Baron MP visited Butyl Products in Radford Crescent, Billericay at the invitation of the company.
Butyl Products Ltd are a UK manufacturer based in Billericay, which have been supplying water storage equipment and distribution kits, together with water purification systems, to all major Aid Agencies and NGO’s including UNICEF, OXFAM, IFRC, ICRC and Save the Children, for over 40 years. The company has recently helped in supplying refugee camps in Syria, Iraq, Africa as well as last year to the Philippines.
John said:
“I was very impressed with this company. Not only is it a world leader in its products which help many humanitarian aid charities, but it backs Britain in manufacturing these products and employs over 40 people in Billericay. It also has plans for expansion. The whole team should be applauded.”

Essex based company Butyl Products Ltd providing solutions for Ebola outbreak.
Butyl Products Ltd are a UK manufacturer based in Billericay, Essex who have been supplying water storage equipment and distribution kits, together with water purification systems to all major Aid Agencies and NGO’s including UNICEF, OXFAM, IFRC, ICRC and Save the Children, for over 40 years.
The Products which are manufactured in the Billericay plant are complimented by systems and service, designed and delivered by highly skilled engineers.
With the increasing concerns in West Africa regarding the Ebola outbreak, Butyl Products have recently supported DFID in supplying equipment for a field hospital in Sierra Leone. The equipment supplied is integral in its ability to provide safe drinking water for up to 200 persons at each camp.
The water storage kits are manufactured in Essex and are heavily supported with a robust supply chain based in the UK. The purpose of using UK suppliers enables Butyl Products to reduce lead times and maintain the quality assurance requirements of the Aid Agencies.
Butyl Products will be celebrating their 50th anniversary next year, and over the last 3 years the business has grown, as new Long Term Agreements have been secured with major agencies. The success of the business has meant the creation of additional jobs at the Billericay Headquarters. The emphasis over the last 50 years has always been to recruit locally and train engineers and technicians to become world leaders in their profession.
