MP discusses busy festive period and excellent service throughout the year

Today John Baron MP visited the Royal Mail delivery office in Basildon, at the invite of Manager Martin Mostyn, to chat with postal staff about how they handle things at their busiest time of the year. John also took the opportunity to thank everyone for their help throughout the year.

John said:

“As someone who relies heavily on our postal service in helping constituents throughout the year, my thanks go to Martin and the whole team for their excellent service. It was therefore good to meet everyone at Royal Mail’s Basildon delivery office.”

“Our postal workers do an important job all year, but their help at Christmas is particularly appreciated. I would like to thank them for their efforts and wish them all the best over the busy festive period.”

Martin said:

“Our postmen and women are working extremely hard to deliver Christmas cards, letters and parcels to people across Basildon. We are grateful that John visited the office to see our operation and to support the team during our busiest time of year.

“We’d like to remind our customers to post early so that friends and family have longer to enjoy their Christmas greetings.”
