John at the launch with the Billericay Street Pastors and first community responders
Today John Baron MP met with the Billericay Street Pastors outside Billericay Police Station on the High Street to launch the new Defib unit in Billericay High Street.
Funding for the Defib has been raised by local fund raising from Burstead Golf Club, Essex Police, One Stop Shop, Hazles Pottery Barns and The Fun Walk Trust. The Billericay Street Pastors have hosted the project in line with their Community Involvement and are now placing the Defibs outside the police station and in a public phone box in association with British Heart Foundation and the local community first responders.
John said:
“These Defib units are excellent news for residents, and well done to Phil and the Billericay Street Pastors for co-ordinating the fund-raising. On behalf of the community, our thanks go to all concerned.”
