MP highlights Dunton Garden Suburb plan

John Baron MP has today urged constituents to respond to the Council’s consultation on its Dunton Garden Suburb plan. This plan would see a development to the West of Laindon and east of West Horndon of between 4,000 and 6,000 homes. The consultation is open until 5pm on Tuesday 17th February.

The Council has also organised drop-in events for those who want to learn more about the plan. The first event will take place on Wednesday 4th February from 4.30pm to 9pm at the President’s Community Centre, Hoover Drive, Laindon. The second event will be at St Francis Church, Thorndon Avenue, West Horndon on Monday 9th February between 4.30pm and 9pm.

John said:

“I encourage residents to respond to this consultation and attend one of the meetings to hear more about the Council’s plans. Development of this kind must be backed by investment across the whole infrastructure spectrum, including the big ticket items such as our hospital, schools, rail and roads. It must also be supported locally.”

“I will be submitting my views to the Council’s consultation in due course.”
