MP urges constituents to attend event
John Baron MP has today urged constituents to attend the ‘Living with Diabetes Day’ event for those with Type Two Diabetes, which will take place at Basildon’s Holiday Inn on March 24th. The event which is being run by Diabetes UK and funded by Tesco, will offer free support and information for those living with Type Two Diabetes.
John said:
“Improving people’s understanding of the condition and how to look after themselves will not only help improve their day-to-day health, but will also help them to avoid serious complications in the long-term. Kidney failure, blindness, amputation, stroke and heart disease are all associated with diabetes if it is not managed well.”
“I urge people with Type 2 diabetes in Basildon and the surrounding areas to attend this free support event. It is crucial that people know what they can do, and what support they can expect from their healthcare teams, to avoid these and stay healthy.”
