MP cuts the ribbon to open new reptile house
Today John Baron MP officially opened the new Reptile House at Barleylands Farm, Billericay at the invitation of the Philpot family. The new reptile house will be the biggest display collection in the South East and will include 55 enclosures.
John said;
“This is a great initiative which will be very popular, especially with children. The reptile house adds to the many attractions at Barleylands, which is already one of the most popular visitor destinations in Essex. Our congratulations go to the whole team and to the kids from Downham Primary School who today were very brave and excited.”
Farm Manager, Dave Finkle said;
“We are ecstatic to announce the opening of the Reptile House and we are looking forward to greeting our customers and watching them explore and learn.”
Dave Hepplewhite, owner of ‘Snakes Alive’ said;
“The Reptile House’ is an exciting project for ‘Snakes Alive’ to bring to Barleylands offering a collection of reptiles and mini-beasts to the public allowing more people to be educated about these amazing animals.”
