Today, John Baron MP presented awards to local schools at Tesco Extra, Mayflower Retail Park, Basildon as part of the ‘Tesco for Schools and Clubs’ initiative. Schools were represented by children and teachers who participated. Vouchers were collected by the schools, parents and children and then exchanged for equipment to be used across the curriculum
John said:
“The schools and parents did a great job in collecting the vouchers. Our congratulations also go to Tesco’s for this excellent initiative. This store gives a lot back to the community and this equipment will be a great help to local schools.”
The local schools at the presentation were, Whitmore County Infant School, Laindon Park County Primary School, St. Peters Roman Catholic Primary School and Noak Bridge County School
