On Friday, John Baron MP, Stephen Metcalfe MP and Bala Mahendran (Chief Executive of Basildon District Council) were guests of SELEX Communications and SELEX Galileo, both part of the Finmeccanica Group. They were given a tour of the facilities and briefed about some of the companies cutting edge technology.
John said afterwards:
“Congratulations to both companies for having such world beating technology which not only helps protect our troops in Afghanistan and other theatres, but also helps our country’s exports.”
“Both companies are also important to the local economy, employing around 1,500 people. The workforce can be proud of their achievements.”
