Today, John Baron MP, Essex FSB and Mr and Mrs McMahon presented a 3,000 signature petition to No. 10 in support of the campaign to keep Bread and Buffers at the station when it is redeveloped by National Express. The petition also calls for Bread and Buffers to remain operational during the redevelopment and that contractual agreements entered into between the company and proprietors are honoured.

John has been facilitating communication between both parties in order to ensure both that Bread and Buffers is treated fairly and to ensure that the redevelopment of the station proceeds to the benefit of commuters.

John said:

“Bread and Buffers has served the local community for 18 years, and this petition is a strong message that we want to keep this much loved snack outlet at Billericay Station.”

“Having been in contact with both parties, in fairness to National Express they have accepted that Bread and Buffers should stay, and the final details are now with the solicitors. An amicable solution would help all parties, including the commuters who will benefit from this station redevelopment.”
