MP talks to students about his job in Parliament

On Friday, John Baron MP visited Millhouse Junior School, Tavistock Road, Laindon to meet the student councillors who were interested to learn more about the role of an MP. John was invited by Kimberley Shoulder, Teacher at the school.

John said:

“I was very impressed by my visit to the school and by the questions being asked by the school councillors. We covered a range of subjects including the nature of my work as an MP. I look forward to welcoming them to Parliament.”

Kimberley Shoulder said:

“The school council team thoroughly enjoyed John Baron’s visit, finding it very interesting to learn about the role of a Local MP, how difficult the job can be, and the different issues raised in the Houses of Parliament. The school council are very excited about the potential opportunity of visiting the Houses of Parliament themselves and finding out firsthand what happens there.”
