MP congratulates Gen and Ayhan on their success over the years

On Friday, John Baron MP officially opened the newly refurbished McDonalds Restaurant in Laindon on the A127. John was joined by Gen Isikgun, Area Manager, and the Laindon Team.

John said:

“It was great to visit Laindon McDonald’s and to officially re-launch the restaurant with these new features and the table service offering. I am pleased to see that McDonald’s is continuing to invest in its restaurants to offer their customers the best service possible.”

“It is also worth recognising how well the company has served the local community over the years. It now employs around 300 people, taking many from apprenticeships through to management positions, and has helped numerous charities across the area. We wish them every success.”

McDonald’s franchisees Gen and Ayhan Isikgun own four restaurants across Essex, including the restaurant in Laindon.

Gen said:

“We’re thrilled with the transformation because we’re committed to offering our customers’ more choice and fast service. We’re were excited to have MP John Baron along too.”

“Technology has a huge role to play in all walks of life, including our customers’ eating out experience, so the new tech we’ve introduced recognises the way people live their lives today. The response to the changes from my team has been very positive and they are enjoying the new ways of working. To ensure we continue to create an outstanding customer experience, I am also continuing to invest in my people through our industry-leading training programmes and career opportunities.”
