MP will be in touch soon
Today at Foreign & Commonwealth Office Questions, John Baron MP raised the British Council All-Party Parliamentary Group’s enquiry into the UK’s future soft power relationship with Europe, and invited the Minister, Rt Hon Mark Field MP, to give evidence. John is the Chairman of the British Council APPG.
In the Chamber, John asked,
“The British Council APPG has been conducting a wide-ranging inquiry into our future soft power relationship with our European partners. Does he agree with what seems to be an early finding that we need to better coordinate our efforts, and would he meet the APPG as part of our inquiry?”
The Minister responded that he was happy to engage and cooperate with the inquiry.
Afterwards, John said,
“Our enquiry into the UK’s future soft power relationship with our European partners has encompassed several round-table sessions with a wide range of contributors, and we are looking forward to launching our report shortly. I am pleased the Minister confirmed he was happy to engage with us and we will be in touch soon.”
