MP attends Association of Colleges’ Annual Summer Reception
John Baron MP recently met with Anthony McGarel, and Joanne Giles from South Essex College at the Association of Colleges’ Annual Summer Reception at Parliament. The event saw the launch of the Association of Colleges’ publication which focuses on colleges in the community and social action.
John said:
“It was good to meet up with Anthony and Joanne to discuss progress at the College and hear more about the Association of Colleges’ new publication. Having helped with matters in the past, it was good to catch up as to the future and discuss plans.”
Anthony McGarel, Deputy Principal and Chief Executive of South Essex College said:
“It was great to be at the event and meet our local MPs along with a variety of supportive MPs from around the country. Colleges everywhere are doing a great job in equipping our future workforce. It gave us a welcome opportunity to discuss with John some of the challenges the college is facing, about his views of FE and how we can work together in the future”.
