MP says referendum result must be respected

Responding to the news that Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP is the winner of the Conservative leadership contest, John said,

“I am very pleased that Boris Johnson will be our new party leader and next Prime Minister. Brexit should be considered an opportunity to be seized rather than a problem to be solved, and I look forward to the UK leaving the EU by 31st October, with or without a deal. The referendum result must be respected.”
