MP says time to Get Brexit Done

Today at Prime Minister’s Questions in the House of Commons, John Baron MP asked the following question,

“We all remember opposition parties never wanting to give the people an EU referendum, even opposing our amendment to the 2013 Queen’s Speech selected by you, Mr Speaker, an early Brexiteer, regretting the absence of a referendum Bill. We also know that opposition parties have done everything they can to delay the delivery of the referendum result.”

“But, as we head into Christmas, and regardless of the antics of those opposite, may I urge the Prime Minister to lead a positive, decent, and One Nation campaign – a strong economy to better help those less fortunate – which addresses the divisions in the country? We wish him well.”

The Prime Minister responded that he completely agreed, and that he will be campaigning for a One Nation message in a positive manner.

John said afterwards,

“Unlike the 2017 General Election, people know what this election is about. They know that Boris and the Conservative Party have done their best to get Brexit done, but have been thwarted by the remain-supporting opposition parties in Parliament. Whilst always unpredictable, a General Election is now the last chance to get Brexit over the line.”
