MP thanks Essex Highways

Essex County Council has issued guidance to help with family mental health during the coronavirus outbreak (please see ‘notes to editors’ below). Meanwhile, Essex Highways has thanked local motorists for greatly reducing traffic on our roads, whilst road and pavement repairs continue.

“The coronavirus outbreak presents a range of challenges, including a toll on our mental health as usual rhythms are disrupted. This can be especially difficult for children, who are missing seeing family and friends. Some parents might find the guidance offered by Essex County Council helpful, which includes suggestions of how to talk to children about their mental health.”

“Meanwhile, it is good news that many motorists and pedestrians in our area are abiding by the Government’s instructions to avoid unnecessary journeys. This keeps the roads free for the emergency services, as well as helping to protect the NHS and save lives. Thanks also go to Essex Highways for continuing their repair works, while respecting social distancing instructions, to keep our roads and pavements safe.”
