MP congratulates Select Offshore on its achievement

It was announced this week that six businesses in Essex have won royal recognition in the Queen’s Award for Enterprise. Winning in the International Trade category, Select Offshore, based in Billericay, specialises in recruiting personnel for the offshore renewables, oil and gas and maritime industries.

John said,

“I would like to congratulate Select Offshore on this important achievement. Since its inception in 1965, only 7,000 businesses have received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, so this is a strong endorsement of the company and its staff. It goes to show the strength of our local businesses, which will stand us in good stead when we get through these challenging times.”

Mike Tann, Select Offshore said,

“It is a tremendous honour to have been awarded a Queen’s Award for outstanding growth in international trade, and we are extremely proud as a company. The loyalty and dedication of our employees has been exceptional, and we have them to thank!”

Notes to Editors:

• The Queen’s Award is valid for five years, and benefits include national and global recognition, marketing opportunities, added commercial value and increased trade, a boost to staff morale and use of the award emblem on stationary, website and advertising.

• The other winning Essex businesses were: Dura Composites (Clacton), Optical Metrology Services (Stansted), Direct Meats (Colchester), Stockdale Investments (Southend) and English Tea Shop (Wickford).
