MP says people can now move house
The Secretary of State for Housing, Rt Hon Robert Jenrick MP, has announced a plan to enable people to move home safely and to re-start the housing market whilst respecting social distancing. Under this plan, estate agents’ offices can open, viewings are permitted, show homes can open and removal companies and the other essential parts of the sales and letting process are re-started. “This is good news for the over 450,000 buyers and renters who have had their plans on hold since March, some of whom are constituents who have been in touch with me. Some significant adjustments, including the increased use of virtual viewings, will be required to ensure social distancing is respected, but those waiting to move can now do so.”
