MP says all who live and work at care homes can be tested
The Secretary of State for Health, Rt Hon Matt Hancock MP, has confirmed that every care home for the elderly or those with dementia has been offered tests for the coronavirus. Test kits have been offered to every care home in England for over-65s or those with dementia, in line with the Government’s target. The Government has provided more than a million test kits to almost 9,000 care home and is now able to send out over 50,000 test kits a day.
John said,
“Care homes have been at the front line of this coronavirus outbreak, and it is right that everyone who lives or works in a care home can receive the necessary testing kits. Those who test positive can be isolated, helping to reduce the spread of the virus and protecting as many vulnerable people as possible.”
