MP highlights Government FAQs

Yesterday in the House of Commons the Prime Minister, Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP, outlined further easing of the lockdown which will take effect from 4th July. This included a downgrading of the two-metre distancing to ‘one metre plus’ where the former is not possible, enabling the opening of more businesses such as restaurants and pubs as long as further measures are taken to mitigate transmission of the coronavirus. In addition, two households can meet indoors or outdoors in public or private spaces, but social distancing requirements will remain. Wedding ceremonies, up to a maximum of 30 people, may also take place.

John said,

“Over the past weeks and months we have made great progress in reducing the spread of the coronavirus. As such, the Government believes it is possible to ease the lockdown further, enabling many of us to resume many activities which have been curtailed since March. This is excellent news, but we must remain vigilant and maintain social distancing.”
