MP urges WW2 Veterans to apply
In September 2010, John Baron MP raised awareness about a fully funded programme to allow WW2 Veterans (and their spouses) to return to where they saw active service. John has recently been notified by The Big Lottery Fund (which is organising the programme) that the deadline for applications has now been extended one last time to 31st January 2012. John is encouraging Second World War Veterans and their widows to apply to the programme before it closes.
John said:
“This Heroes Return programme is an excellent idea. Paying for veterans to return to where they saw active service is one small way of saying thank you. For those who haven’t, I urge all Veterans and their families to consider applying as the deadline has now been extended.”
