MP encourages residents to use website
The Essex Opportunities Portal has recently been launched, which is a one stop shop providing information and advice about skills, careers, training and employment for our community. The portal is part of Essex County Council’s Covid Economic Recovery Plan, and promotes reskilling and employment opportunities in partnership with local businesses, colleges and training providers. Two key features are the employer showcase, which includes links to local businesses and which provides a snapshot of the local employment landscape, and a page providing information on Essex’s employment growth areas. “I welcome the launch of this excellent new website, which aims to provide information about skills, careers, training and employment in partnership with local organisations. People looking to reskill or find a new job can find more information on this website, and employers can find the people they need to grow their businesses. As we emerge from the pandemic, I encourage Essex residents to make maximum use of this website.”
