MP encourages eligible manufacturers to apply to fund

The Medicines and Diagnostics Manufacturing Transformation Fund opens for applications today. Announced last November, this new £20 million fund will support the manufacture of medicines, diagnostics and MedTech in the UK. This will boost Britain’s life sciences manufacturing, creating economic opportunities and increasing the number of highly-skilled jobs as well as greater resilience in Britain’s supply chains.

John said,

“I welcome the opening of applications to this new fund. Britain has one of the strongest and most productive health and life sciences industries globally, with a turnover of £80 billion and supporting 256,000 jobs, all underpinned by an extensive research sector and a high-quality science base. I would encourage eligible manufacturers to make use of these funds.”
