MP hopes world leaders will follow Britain’s example
The Government has announced a £55 million aid package to fund research into global education reforms, particularly focusing on efforts to improve girls’ education by supporting them to receive 12 years of good education. The Prime Minister is urging other world leaders to invest in education as part of the Government’s ambition to get 40 million more girls into school in the next five years.
John said,
“The Government is right that we need to ‘build back better’ after the pandemic, and this is as true internationally as it is at home. I welcome these measures to improve girls’ education, and hope world leaders will take on board the Prime Minister’s message.”
