MP urges EU, EEA and Swiss citizens in Basildon & Billericay not to miss application deadline
As of today there are 30 days to go until the deadline (30th June) for applications to the EU Settlement Scheme. All EU, EEA and Swiss citizens and their family members resident in the UK by 31st December 2020 should apply as soon as possible so they can continue to work, study and access free healthcare and benefits in the UK after 30th June.
John said,
“Citizens from the EU, EEA and Switzerland are valued friends, neighbours and colleagues who make a great contribution to life in the UK. We want them to stay, which is why I pressed the Government throughout the Brexit process to protect EU citizens’ rights. I urge all EU, EEA and Swiss citizens resident in Basildon & Billericay, if they have not already done so, to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme as soon as possible and well in advance of the 30th June deadline.”
