John Baron MP highlights Commonwealth Games volunteer opportunities

MP encourages volunteers for Birmingham 2022

Last week marked one year to the beginning of the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games. The organisers are seeking volunteers to join the ‘Commonwealth Collective’ and support the running the Games while reflecting the diversity of the UK and the Commonwealth. No prior experience is required, and full training will be provided. Roles include drivers, first aiders, meet and greeters, venue preppers, kit carriers, courtside assistants – and many others. Applicants must be 18 by 1st January 2022, and the deadline for applications is 17th August at 7.00pm.

John said,

“The 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham will be a major international event, and the 13,000 volunteers will be at the heart of its operations and success. Applications are now open, and I encourage everyone to come forward to join the Commonwealth Collective and play their part in this global festival of sport.”
