MP encourages residents to make submissions

The Government has launched a public consultation on whether to make the recent changes to outdoor measures for high streets permanent. These temporary changes have given a large boost to high streets and hospitality venues during the pandemic, allowing marquees to be put up in pub grounds or street markets to operate all year round.

John said,

“These temporary changes have supported businesses during these difficult times and have made our town centres livelier. Millions of people across the country have enjoyed the fruits of these changes, and I encourage everyone to submit to the consultation on whether to make these changes permanent.”
