MP encourages everyone to get their booster jab
More than 10 million people across the UK have now received a third booster jab of the covid-19 vaccinations, including 996,164 in our East of England region. People eligible for a third dose (those over 50 as well as those most at risk from covid-19) can now book appointments five months after their second dose. Booster jabs are also available without appointments at walk-in centres.
John said,
“It is excellent news that seven in ten over-80s and three in five over-50s have already received their top-up jabs. However, many more are still to come forward, and I strongly encourage everyone to do so when they become eligible – as I have recently done. A strong round of booster jabs will be a powerful protection against covid-19 this winter, and will help people protect themselves and those around them.”
Notes to Editors:
• John received his booster jab on Monday at St Thomas’ Hospital, opposite Parliament.
